Well we didn't think we were going to be able to find out but we now know that we are having a boy! And yes there is only one in there!! At first he had his legs crossed and the umbilical cord in between his legs. The tech was trying to get some shots but he was moving around the whole time, he really does not like staying still. He was waving and kicking the whole time! The tech said that the baby weighs about 9 oz. which puts him right on track for mid-October. I was sure thinking he was going to be joining us a lot sooner than that. The heart and lungs looked great and there was even fluid in the stomach which means he is swallowing like he should be. The kidneys were working as well as the bladder. There was also plenty of fluid around him and he is laying on the placenta which means I get to enjoy his kicks a lot more frequently now. I finally had to go use the restroom in order to maybe get a clear shot of whether we were having a boy or a girl. The tech still had to do some poking and moving but finally he showed us his true colors! It was unmistakable. The profile of him is adorable too. He definitely has my nose and his daddy's forehead! Tomorrow I go in to meet with the doctor and go over all the pictures and measurements. Doug and I are of course thrilled that it is a boy but more thrilled that everything looked great on the ultrasound!
